Paws on Plastic

Paws On Plastic is excited to be at this year’s P in the Park festival! 

As a charity whose members are almost exclusively dog owners, we are so excited about the opportunity to educate even more dog enthusiasts about our mission. Our mission is simple, but has an immediate and lasting impact; we encourage people to pick up litter while out on their daily dog walks. 

Founded in Stonehaven, North East Scotland, we now have members from over 70 countries, passionate about our mission to reduce litter globally. With everyone doing a little each day, it creates a huge impact. Last year, we calculated that our members picked up 39 million pieces of plastic. It’s true! Small actions build up over time, and our community of animal and nature lovers alike are hoping to pick up even more litter this year. 

P in the Park presents a great opportunity for us to connect with more dog owners and educate on the dangers that litter presents to our dogs. Each year, thousands of animals, including dogs, are harmed by litter, with a number of them unfortunately dying. These deaths and injuries are completely preventable. By not littering, and picking up litter when you see it, you are literally saving animals, and the environment, which has suffered many negative impacts due to litter. 

Paws On Plastic knows that everyone at P in the Park loves dogs. It is one of Scotland’s favourite dog festivals, after all! So let’s work together to do our part to keep them safe. Don’t litter, and when you’re out walking your beloved furry friend, pick up any that you see. Once you start to notice litter around you, it’ll become part of your daily dog walk to pick it up, and becomes a part of your routine. It only takes a minute, and you’ll be doing something good for your dog, the environment, and yourself. We are very excited to see everyone at P in the Park this year! You’ll find the Paws On Plastic stand in the Dog Marquee. We will have fun litter picking games, a selfie station with doggie dress ups, and even a raffle.
